It's A Juicing Recipes Mash Up!!

Who in the world could compare Lincoln Park and Jay Z with great juicing recipes? Well, I guess that's me, because I'm about to do just that. First things first though, I wanted to give you my own personal Top x list of food items to juice, divided by veggies and fruits (in case there's a vote or something :-))

My Top 14 Juiced Vegetables:
  • beets, cabbage, carrot, celery, cucumber, kale, parsley, turnip, spinach, watercress, wheatgrass (I'm not even sure wheatgrass is a veggie, but for the sake of my list we'll say it is, ok?) broccoli, onions, rutabaga.

My Top 13 Juiced Fruits:
  • Watermelon, Honeydew Melon, Peach, Mango, Oranges, Tomato, avocado, apples, pears, bananas, berries, bell peppers (are they all fruits?)

These items are merely scratching the surface of what can be juiced for health benefits, but none the less these are the things that end up in my juicer most of the time. Now, some of these items may make you run screaming into the night, out of "childhood cabbage fears" or maybe from
"bad experiences with beets", but here's where Jay Z and Linkoln Park come into the picture. You see, these 2 musical entities decided to mash up their sound once, and the end result was incredible, musically speaking. Their CD was great and even though musically speaking they had obvious differences in taste, when they added together their individual sound and mashed it up, brilliance ensued.

This is the interesting thing about mash ups, they can turn a horrid taste into a very appealing possibility. When broccoli gets you down, adding a carrot or 5 can make all the difference. Carrots are very sweet when juiced. When cabbage has you thinking about buying a bag of Doritos, try adding tomatoes, berries, or anything else you like and you can make it acceptable to your taste buds.

Flavors that you may utterly despise can be offset or even completely nullified by adding fruits and veggies that you enjoy. Try it, make a "mash up", and you will know exactly what I am talking about. Combine the different flavor combinations and produce flavors that are literally awesome, and allow into your body the nutrients from foods you have boycotted since you moved away from home. A quality health drink and juicing recipe does not have to taste like motor oil. If you remember my article on curing a Starbucks Addiction, you'll know that it is possible to even become addicted to your favorite juicing recipe. I can think of worse things to be addicted to.

BTW fair and gentle readers, here's a video I found today while cruising the net. Not to be disrespectful but the presentation was almost as boring to me as a presentation on The History of Coat Hangers. However it is a very good juicing recipe and gives you a very proper step by step on how to do it right. And hey, if they add a Russian Dancing Bear next time they may even make it to my next Top x List!!

Hey G, Thanks for the featured spot on your blog!!! Is this what a Rock star feels like? lol My computer crashed a few days ago so I've been absent from the blogosphere but I did get a chance to check your article out before things went haywire.

Yep the Green Goddess is an excellent juice, and there is a popular dressing with similar ingredients, so I've found out from the emails I'm getting. Hey I even convinced my 10 year old to try the juice version and he's hooked (even though it's "green" - so he says :-)).

BTW Happy Halloween to you in Vancouver!! Cheers!
